From the point of view of the written sources about and from Germania, the Christianization of our tribe also appears in a different light than church historians, jurists and others have almost without exception presented it so far, because those reports remained unknown to them or appeared to be untrustworthy. They were particularly indifferent to Tacitus and to the literature of ancient Iceland. Thus, not only the pre-Christian cultural height of the Teutonic tribes remained hidden from them, but also what their subjugation to the [fantasy] cross actually meant. By the way, the fire that Ingimund has used against his enemy, is not a special case for converting activities. Other blackmail maneuvers were the snake of Olaf and the coal basin. The burning of a house is an old Teutonic war maneuver that was also applied by the pagans in emergency cases. There was for example a Nials murder fire ("Nialsbrenna") and [p.10] there are corresponding prohibition prescription in the old People's Rights. 6. "Diplomatic means" for the Jesus Fantasy "Christianization" in Europe

8. The new mentality of the religious war in Europe

So the Jarl takes revenge for the humiliation by waging war on Christian countries - including Gautland (Götaland) was already one. [p.12]

The high reputation of the old Teutonic women, as Tacitus describes it and the sagas confirm it, their mistress dignity and the reputation of their prophetic talent are contrasted by documents from the Middle Ages, such as the justly notorious Hammer of Witches and the Costume of Aardenburg from the 15th century, where is written the following:

This sentence is more worth heeding for the historian and philologist than for theologians. We may also apply it to the subject of this treatise: the source tradition, which I have presented here in this selection, is a word that should be left standing, whether one is from the Christianity or is convinced with Friedrich Hebbel (in a letter to his bride Elise Lensing):
